A Dumb Article On A Dopey Idea...
Yes, it isn't difficult to find really truly bad and depressing news now-a-days! It is all around us and everywhere, it affects everyone! The well wishes and good times of the holidays are only a matter of days passed not weeks or months; however, many of us are again feeling sad, lonely, depressed, devastated and truly overwhelmed in bad news! We're not off to a good new year's start are we? Isn't is strange how talking about and thinking about other people's bad news makes us all feel bad? So I started thinking that just maybe, if all the of bad news stories can make us feel terrible, maybe some positive story or exercise could change things around for the good! My only goal for this article is to help defeat depression, sadness and loneliness. I hope you will continue to read and follow along. If it helps please write and notify me. Lastly, the only rule of this exercise is, please don't read ahead, just follow along for the next few moments. The next step is the only step where you are asked to spend any time or effort, so hold on for just a moment as we begin.
Take just a brief moment to think about doing something dopey or silly; something cheap but fun, to do tonite? For real, think about it for just a moment. Okay got it in mind? Now you are all done with exerting time and mental energy for this exercise, so you can now sit back as I continue. Wasn't too bad was it? I hope not:)
Now it only took you a moment to think of and plan something to do tonight, so you can't say, "I don't have the time'! It won't cost you much if anything, so you can't say, "I can't afford it"! You can't even say, "well it really isn't all that fun to me", because after all it was YOUR idea of dopey and silly! Right?
So now then if you have followed along, you now have something real and concrete to look forward to tonite, this is simply called hope. You now have something to share with another, this is called companionship. You now have something that will make the hours of tonight go by like seconds, this is the best most exacting definition for exhilaration and excitement. You will even now have a good memory, tommorrow morning and this is called fondness or warmheartedness. You may even experience a yearning to do what you do tonight another night, real soon and this is called positive hopefulness or pleasant anticipation! Right?
So how then, can a person who has hope, companionship, exhilaration, excitement and true warmheartedness be depressed, sad, lonely and/or a 'debbie-downer'? They can't-Right? Neither could YOU if you follow the instructions and think of, actually plan and do something, cheap but fun and entertaining for tonight. All in all you will then be on the road to good times and to the total absence of any feelings of being lonely sad and regretful! All in all you truly created good out of nothing and that's better than creating more bad out of other bad! Right?
Go now and be happy just for the moment, for tonight you have something to look forward to and something to brag about tomorrow instead of re-telling the same old bad news! Tomorrow as you tell about tonight, notice how everyone is more pleasent and less depressed as they listen! You not only helped yourself but you have also just planted the seed of happiness in others and that's better than giving another more depression and bad news to share!
Yes, I think this will truly qualify as a dumb article on a dopey idea! However, if you think about it for just a moment, it isn't as dumb as it is to sit around re-telling bad news stories to already depressed people until everyone is even more depressed and hopeless feeling, is it? So then, if this dumb article helps you, first write and tell me about it and then pass it along to another please. Thanks and God bless!
