The Blog Carnival of Christian Family Information Exchange-June Edition

Welcome to the June edition of the Christian Family Information Exchange Blog Carnival. For those of you that don't know what a 'blog Carnival' is, one you are in for a real treat, and two it is equivalent to a online or digital monthly magazine. Grab a cup of your favorite drink and browse this month's carnival that we have put together for you. We provide a new edition each month on the first Friday. This way you can spend hours of browsing to your heart's content all week-end long!

Now, as I have stated in previous carnivals, the time would come when I would have to be exclusive rather than inclusive with regards to the monthly entries. That time has come this month and with this issue. I don't wish to censor or to keep certain Christian religious beliefs out of our carnival. Unfortunately, several individuals submitted Writings of pseudo-Christian topics and beliefs. Whereas I don't wish to get into a debate over real versus pseudo Christian beliefs and so on, I still couldn't allow our monthly issues to be tainted and open to greater misunderstandings and even appear that we support various pseudo-Christian mis-practices. I plan to continue in this practice until this carvinal becomes a avenue to highlight and to explain various practices or until you, our regular readers were to state otherwise.

Again, for the record I state that only entries regarding mainstream Christian family information will be excepted. If you are unsure about a posting, go ahead and submit it, however, don't be offended if it doesn't make that month's issue. I truly hate having to pick and choose, but in order to provide a truly Christian issue for all of our families including our children, I have left the controversies and sideline Christian beliefs and activities for your local news channels. Also I wish to state at this time and for the last time that anything to do with 'The Secret' or the supposedly 'Law of Attraction' may be considered 'spiritual' beliefs however, they are really not Christian beliefs or practices. There are spiritual practices that overlap Christian beliefs and practices however, not everything spiritual is Christian and not everything Christian is 'spiritual'. We Christians pray to God our Father for that which we feel we need and those practicing modern 'spiritual' thought 'think positively' and 'change' their realities for themselves without any reliance on God. Also the practice of more than one wife as well as the practice of arranged marriages between adults and children are not commonly held Christian beliefs, regardless of Old Testemant Mosaic law or in light of newer 'personal revelations'. These two specific camps submitted nearly half of all the entries submitted for this issue and have been excluded from this and any future month's Christian blog carnival issues. Now then after all that has been covered, relax and enjoy your blog carnival. As you are reading write down any ideas or comments and be sure to submit them.
